Your body, mind & spirit.
Welcome Home! OYA Retreats offer women of the African diaspora and women of colour an opportunity to immerse themselves in self-care and self-practice. We honour the intersections of our identities both on the yoga mat and off. Our team is dedicated to providing a sacred space in which all body types have the freedom to experience a fulfilling practice in movement and in stillness. Sign up to our mailing list here.
In the presence of sisterhood, you will have the opportunity to move and to be still, to read, write and sing, to talk and to listen. This weekend is perfect for you if you desire a short weekend getaway, at which you can enjoy a slower pace and dedicated time just getting back to you.
Our intention is to help women reconnect with their true feminine power as divine beings. We will discuss some of the restraints society has placed on women of colour in terms of deciding what is beautiful and what is not. We will also look at new ways to embrace femininity and explore our bodies in healthy and empowering ways.
November is a time of the year when the summer is behind us making way for the winter of cold and quiet giving us an opportunity to retreat, to hibernate and go within. This is a time for introspection, inner nurturing and future planning. It is a time to sow seeds for the new season, the New Year or the new you.
