Theme

Each new year is entered with a great deal of enthusiasm about all of its possibilities and potential. Often too much emphasis is placed on the new year rather than the new - or to be more precise - transformed energy required to utilise opportunities that are placed before us.

At this retreat, we will reflect on the past year, release its unwanted aftereffects, and revitalise a positive mind set. This weekend of sessions is perfect for you, if you are looking to begin the year by introducing and/or reaffirming a sustainable self-practice surrounded in support and sisterhood.

May the opportunities that best support you appear open in front of you. May the activities that you don't really need be like a door closing behind you.

The body is the only true home that we will ever have, so it's important that it be nourished and cherished. Over the course of the weekend, guests will be led in movement and mindfulness practice to do exactly that.

The exact retreat schedule is subject to change and will be released to registered guests closer to the date.

Talks and Treatments

There will be a number of talks and treatments on offer over the course of the weekend.

NEW ::: Kemetic yoga taught by Amani! Egyptian yoga originates from Ancient Kemet, now known as Egypt. It is a restorative system which has unique postures and principles. It combines physical movement, deep breathing and meditation to help achieve balance, peace, order and discipline which is known as Maat.

NEW ::: Workshop on holistic journaling hosted by Jackee! Holistic Journaling is an invitation to bring your whole self to your journaling writing. Starting inwards, using images, collaging and colours, writing prompts and writing extracts this is a dee dive into the sensual and sacred self through a practice of conscious presence. Learn how to best use journaling and therapeutic writing for illumination and divine introspection.

NEW ::: Workshop Who am I and where am I at? with Ratna! Let us take a journey, simple in delivery yet profound in its content in discovering “Who am I” at a physical, mental and spiritual level! Add time and goals to this mix and discover the world of wisdom in the sister sciences of Ayurveda and Yoga. Understanding our time here and the objectives of our life together with the knowledge of who we are makes for a life of purpose and service which is truly empowering!

NEW ::: Sound healing with Ratna! Mantra Therapy is an important part of Ayurveda. Mantras are sound formulas, packed with energy and intention, which have a profound effect on the body, mind and emotions. When these sound waves (mantras) are combined with thought waves (intentions) they become powerful tools for insight, healing, creativity and spiritual growth. This sound energy helps to heal our minds at a subconscious level where the root of all our problems exist. Let us sing, chant and move to our own inner rhythm and get onto the highway of devotion and bliss.

Treatments will range from deep tissue massage to Reiki. In the registration form you can indicate if you would like to book a treatment, so that our therapists can be in touch with you directly. Treatments are not included in the retreat package price.
