This week's full moon carries great significance in Buddhist tradition and is said to be quite powerful. Full moons are an opportunity to release old burdens so that you are able to create space for the new that awaits you.
In search of inspiration, I found this tweet:
"The future can be different if we choose to make it so. There is no time for complacency, hope lies in what action we take." ~ Dalai Lama
Often we are tempted to believe that our past defines our present and predicts our future. But that is not the whole story. While our past helped mould us into our present selves, it does not have all the say. Our past is not a restrictive framework forever limiting our future. Our past is simply that - in the past.
In accepting our past, there is no room for complacency. With healthy reflection and a strong vision, we can direct the paths we seek. That is not to say there will not be obstacles and challenges. There will be. However, an obstacle is not an impasse. And a challenge must not become a questioning of the Self.
Utilise this full moon to shed what no longer serves you, set intentions for your path forward, and honour yourself and your connection with your environment. The world is in continuous motion - energetically and physically - so we too must remain committed to action for the good of everyone.
