Before every weekend retreat, we receive e-mails from attendees, who are unsure if they will be completely satisfied with our vegan, refined sugar- and wheat-free menu. However, the food we serve made by our amazing chef is always the major highlight that excites everyone who comes on an OYA retreat.
Just as there are a lot of myths and misinformation swirling the Internet about the healing practices, with which we also work such as yoga and meditation, the same is true for healthy eating.
We aim to support our community members in their daily eating habits by facilitating a 21-day virtual detox programme. Our method is one that is sustainable. The meal plans and recipes provided will include a diet that is vegan as well as alcohol-, caffeine-, refined sugar- and wheat-free. At first there will surely be some ups and downs, as the body adjusts to a different way of eating, but it is a great opportunity to observe how the body does not need many of the things that we give it. Even if the mind tries to convince us otherwise.
At OYA we do believe that there are different bodies and body types and thus each person must figure out what works and does not. Losing weight, the "clean eating" fad and other trends are not we would emphasise. We prioritise extending mindfulness to our eating habits, so that we can live our best lives with a healthy body as the foundation. Through healing our bodies we have more capacity to heal our minds and spirits.
For those of you interested in giving it a try yet ridden with a feeling of overwhelm if you will be able to maintain the programme over the course of the 21 days, we extend an offer:
If you feel more burdened than uplifted with the programme after the first 7 days, we will offer you a full refund - no questions asked. Book by Sunday, 3 September, to qualify for this offer!
We are just that confident that you will learn and grow with the help of your peers. You're worth it!
